David Llewellyn Apprenticeship Awards

We are about to kick off our evaluation and award proceedings for this year’s David Llewellyn Apprenticeship Awards. We are looking for apprentices that demonstrate exceptional personal qualities and have made significant achievements through their apprenticeship.

Last year Thomas Hardy (pictured left) won the award for exemplifying the dedication and commitment of our former colleague and friend, David Llewellyn.

This poignant award was launched as a way to commemorate David’s incredible work ethic, after we lost him to cancer in January last year. David started his career as one of our first apprentices in Merit’s Offsite Factory in Cramlington, which has now been running a number of years. He was very proud to be an apprentice at Merit and his hard work and dedication ensured he swiftly progressed into Merit’s estimating department upon completion of his apprenticeship.
