

Merit is currently delivering Berwick’s new £35m Community Hospital. The facility is much anticipated by the local community and has been the subject of a 15+ year campaign.
Once operational in Summer 2025, the new Hospital will provide a range of new services that will benefit the local community including endoscopy, a maternity ward as well as a new GP practice.
To ensure that Berwick residents receive up-to-date relevant project information, our team collaborated closely with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to take part in Community Drop-in Session Events, held in Berwick town centre.
These bi-annual events aim to foster open communication between residents and the Berwick Hospital projects team to ensure that key project information is shared in an open forum environment.
As part of this event, visuals are shared, key project milestones are highlighted and the team’s from Merit, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management all attend.
